C-Section?

Yesterday didn't go exactly how I would have liked it to go. I had the first of my weekly appointments where my doctor checked me to see how everything was going.
Jaxon finally put his feet down but he is still breeched. Since he wont budge.... we were going to try and move him to avoid a c-section. My doctor had me go over to the hospital at 4:30 were we were going to attempt to flip him. (We didn't end up leaving till 7)
Im not a fan of hospitals but I have been doing better each time I go. I was even starting to get better with IVs until this nurse screwed that up for me.
She must have been new because it hurt like hell! She put it in the side of my wrist which ill never do that again.
Before she could plug the IV cord into the thing in my wrist ( I don't know the technical words for what they used) I could feel my blood running down my hand.
I was on the verge of puking. After all that was done I was given a shot that helps relax my uterus. It makes you feel like you have had 8 cups of coffee.
I couldn't stop my hands from shaking.  Once all that was done, we were ready to try turning him. Let me just say, I have an amazing doctor.
I have heard that doing this is VERY painful. She was so gentle and used different techniques to get him to move while trying not to hurt me.
It still was very uncomfortable but it never brought tears to my eyes. ( The IV was the worst part of the whole thing.) Unfortunately we just couldn't get him to move. :( This means if he doesn't flip on his own in the next two weeks... Ill be having a c-section Sept 13.
I was so bummed out when I found this out. I wanted so badly to be able to hold my baby right after I had him... but now I have to wait till I'm out of recovery, and not to mention I'm so scared to be awake during it all.
The only reason I have been ok with my surgeries in the past was because I was asleep during all of them. I know that God will keep me safe but my nerves always get the best of me so ill be needing a lot of prayer that day.
Now that I know ill be having a c-section, there is a lot I need to do and change before that day, starting with my birth plan.
Oh joy.

Dont hospital gowns just make you look fabulous!?
At least the rooms were really nice.

  2. Hey Sierra,
I just wrote a huge long post and then it said it couldnt connect!
basically there is a way to turn baby naturally doing the hypnobirthing method
    http://www.hypnobirthingdownloads.com/turnbreechbaby.htm
you relax and focus tuning into your baby and allowing him to turn, you may be carrying tension in your uterus and this really allows you to relax and let him turn, most medical procedures that turn baby actually mean baby turns back to breech again. I am sure it will work out well for you, sometimes these people fill you with fear and there is no need, women have given birth without intervention for millenia. xxx
