Not very happy taking pictures.
Our first shower alone ( Just baby and me) turned out pretty well. He got a little fussy at first so I sat down with him and fed him. After that he was good to go. Since babies get slippery when you soap them up, I wrapped one of his thin towels around him while we were in there. After I was done washing him, I wrapped him up in his big towel and put him in his car seat so I could finish taking my shower.
This week = Lots of spit up and gassy baby. I'm going to try cutting diary out of my diet to see if that helps his poor tummy. I hate seeing him cry because he is hurting. What does help is the gas drops. It breaks up those big bubbles into tiny bubble...which makes him fart....a lot. I think its hilarious! I will wake up from the little grunts he makes to hear him rip one right after, or while I'm nursing him he will sneak a little one out. Sorry but I'm not a typical girl. Farts make me laugh.
Im pretty sure he is a colicky baby :(
I was told to go get gripe water and it has been a miracle for us. He poops more throughout the night ( Which is good because he doesnt get backed up and cry his head off).
Jax is staying awake for a lot longer now. I still can't put him down unless it it in his swing. He will just sit there and look around. I don't know what I would do with out that thing.
Packing with a baby. Not so easy.
We are leaving Colorado to move back to California. Both of our families live there and we want baby Jax to grow up around them and his soon-to-be new cousin. As awesome as this is, its still really hard to think that we are leaving all the amazing people we have met here, not to mention my best friend of 16 years who moved out here not to long after us. But we know this is Gods plan for us and we hope to move back out here in the future. We'll see what happens.
Sorry for the gross picture. The story behind it is kind of funny though. Poor little Jax wasn't doing very good due to something I ate and had a very rough night. He was crying most of the time and couldnt poop. In the morning since he still hadnt pooped and wasnt feeling good I told Mike to get him undressed and put him in the tub with me in hopes that it would make him feel better. On the way to the tub he decided to poop all over Mike and the floor. At least he felt better after that.
Recap!
Oh my goodness! He is so cute! I had to laugh at the poop picture! As a new momma, I've experienced almost the same thing :)
